What does the number of stars next to a hotel's name mean?
The number of stars indicates the hotel's standard based on local categorization:

  • No stars: Facilities with a very modest standard.
  • 1 star: Low-category facilities with basic equipment.
  • 2 stars: Mid-range facilities, functionally furnished with an average standard.
  • 3 stars: Facilities with good service quality and attentive staff.
  • 4 stars: High-standard facilities, comfortably furnished, with good dining options.
  • 5 stars: Luxury facilities offering the highest service standards, often with comfortable rooms and diverse cuisine.
  • Half a star: Indicates the hotel stands out within its category, e.g., it's newly built or recently renovated.

It's important to note that hotel standards may vary by country. We recommend choosing international hotel chains such as Hilton, Iberostar, Sol Melia, Barcelo, Mitsis, Riu, Intercontinental, Sofitel, Radisson SAS, Movenpick, Marriott, or Vincci, which ensure consistent service quality worldwide.

Is the number of stars the only way to assess a hotel's standard?
No, some hotels also use a letter-based rating system with a three-tier scale (A, B, C).

What do the abbreviations in room descriptions mean?

  • DBL (Double): A double room for two adults.
  • SGL (Single): A single room or a double room for one person.
  • TPL (Triple): A room for three adults.

What do the abbreviations for meals mean?

  • WŁ (Self Catering): No meals included in the offer.
  • BB (Bed & Breakfast): Breakfast, usually buffet-style or continental.
  • HB (Half Board): Breakfast and dinner.
  • FB (Full Board): All meals: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
  • ALL (All Inclusive): Everything included (usually breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, non-alcoholic drinks, and local alcoholic beverages).
  • UALL (Ultra All Inclusive): Extended All Inclusive (e.g., late breakfasts, imported alcohol, fresh fruit juices, ice cream, a la carte meals).

Different countries and hotels may offer varying standards under All Inclusive and Ultra All Inclusive options.

What is the difference between a buffet breakfast and a continental breakfast?

  • Buffet breakfast: Guests choose dishes from displayed platters, composing their meal according to their preferences.
  • Continental breakfast: A basic set of items such as bread, cold cuts, cheese, butter, coffee, and tea.

What characterizes a Last Minute offer?
A Last Minute offer refers to a trip with a short departure deadline, offered at significant discounts. Typically, the departure date is near (also known as Hit, Joker, Last Moment, Last Second).

What characterizes a First Minute offer?

  1. Important Information

How can I get an invoice for my vacation?
To receive an invoice, please contact us in advance at kontakt@vacationclub.pl, preferably before making your reservation, to agree on the details (different organizers may have separate policies regarding invoice requests). The following information is required to issue an invoice:

  • Order number,
  • Full name or company name for the invoice,
  • Invoice address (if different from the reservation address),
  • Tax Identification Number (NIP) if the invoice is for a company.
Once the organizer issues the invoice, we will send it to the email address you provide.

How long must my passport/ID card be valid before the trip?
The identity document you will travel with must be valid at the time of travel. Many countries require a passport or ID card to be valid for at least six months from the return date. Before departure, check the document requirements for your destination (available in the "Before Travel" section on the offer page). If your document's validity does not meet the requirements, airport check-in may not be possible.

How can I report discrepancies between the offer and the contract during the trip?
If you notice any discrepancies between the offer and the contract during your trip, contact the resident as soon as possible. The resident will accept your complaint and assist in resolving the issue locally. If the resident is unavailable, please contact the organizer's emergency number, which can be found in your contract or travel documents.

Who can I contact in case of an emergency (accident, theft, etc.)?
In emergencies such as accidents or theft, immediately contact local emergency services, such as the police, city guard, or ambulance. In European Union countries, the general emergency number is 112. If you encounter language difficulties or are unfamiliar with local customs, contact your resident, who can help communicate with the appropriate emergency services and provide necessary guidance.

Polish Citizen's Guide Abroad
Before your planned trip, we encourage you to review the latest information in the "Polish Citizen's Guide Abroad," available on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website. You will find valuable tips and advice to help you travel safely and comfortably outside Poland.

Do I need to get vaccinated before the trip?
Before traveling to a foreign country, check if any mandatory vaccinations are required (per international health regulations) or recommended based on the type of travel or risk exposure. Note that not all countries mandate vaccinations. If you have any doubts, our consultants are available to assist you. Additionally, you can find a detailed vaccination calendar for specific countries on the vaccination schedule page.

Are my personal data protected?
Yes, your personal data is protected under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) enacted on May 28, 2018. You have the right to access, correct, delete, or limit the processing of your data and to object in specific cases provided by law. Detailed information on exercising these rights can be found in our privacy policy. If you have additional questions, please contact us at iod@vacationclub.pl.
