ICE SWIMMERS IN MIELNO
The first meeting of ice swimmers in Mielno was held in 2004 and 120 brave swimmers took part in it. This is how the story of this event began – there were not so much people but the atmosphere was great. Recently the meetings have been attended by more then 2 thousand. people, which means that fans of this "extreme" sport are growing. For those who dare to take part in the event, there are three days of fun, a great parade and bathing in tubs and the Baltic Sea.

Cosy place on the Baltic Sea

Mielno is a charming and in summer bustling resort on the Baltic Sea and the Jamno Lake, on the Słowińskie Coast. Its largest attraction is obviously a clean and guarded beach, surrounded by cafes, restaurants and the seaside promenade. The oldest seafront club on the Baltic Sea is located here, and in the center you can speak in Hyde Park, just like the one in London. Mielno has the charm of a town situated on a spit with water on its both sides. The Baltic Sea in the north and the Jamno Lake in the south provide additional attractions to water sports amateurs. |
Active leisure fans are awaited by cycling routes leading through the coastal villages and towns, and on the edge of the beach and the dunes there is a wonderful walking path with a viewpoint over the endless sea and a checkerboard, where you can play with supernatural size figures. The best walking path is the beautiful linden alley from Mielno to Mielenko and then the way back along the beach. In winter, fans of cold baths come to Mielno. The spectacular International Winterbathers’ Rally has been held here for a number of years, each year with growing popularity. |
