Lighthouse

ul. Morska 1

The lighthouse first lit up in 1666. The tower was reconstructed several times and currently has 26 m, and its light can be seen from almost 30 km. The lighthouse is open to visitors — you can admire not only the Baltic Sea, but also the beautiful panorama of Kołobrzeg.

Monument of Poland's wedding with the sea

bulwar Jana Szymańskiego

The monument, located right next to the seaside promenade, was designed by Wiktor Tołkin. It commemorates the wedding of soldiers of the First Polish Army with the sea of 18 March 1945. Legend has it that if you go under the monument holding your breath your wish will come true.

Rope PARK

ul. Solna 1

At the Guests' disposal there are 8 routes varied in terms of difficulty, length and number of obstacles. In total, all routes are almost 1500 m of great fun with 115 obstacles. The park is open from May 1 to October 30.

Amphitheater

ul. Fredry 1

The Amphitheater is also called Fort Wilczy. Designed to protect the port of Kołobrzeg, it was rebuilt in 1925. During the World War II in 1945, the city defense point was organized here. Currently, the Amphitheater hosts large open-air concerts and one of the most popular electronic music festivals in Poland — Sunrise Festival.

Kołobrzeg Pier

The first pier in Kołobrzeg was built in 1881. A wooden, 100-meter T-shaped structure was completely destroyed during World War II. It was rebuilt in 1971 – this is also the time when a marina for small cruise ships was created. You can sail from here on some scenic cruises. Currently, the pier has the length of 220 m and width of 9 m, and the walking bridge is located at the altitude of about 4.5 m above sea level. After dark, the pier shimmers with all the colors of the rainbow.

The Oldest Iron Bridge

It is the only bridge in Kołobrzeg which survived both world wars. The metal balustrades are decorated on both sides with anchors with the date of construction carved — 1900.

CO‐Cathedral Basilica

ul. Mariacka 5

Gothic basilica (collegiate church) under the invocation of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Kołobrzeg stands in the very center of the Old Town. Ruined during military operations, it was rebuilt shortly after the war. One of the oldest and most valuable exhibits of the temple is a 4-meter, bronze-cast seven-branched candlestick from 1327.

Post Office building

The neo-gothic post office buildign was constructed in 1884. It was among the 5% of the Kołobrzeg buildings which were not distroyed in World War II. Placed on the cornices are most interesting architectural details — gnomes, which, according to the legend, bring good luck. Going by, it's worth to look up and find the 10 small figures.

Town Hall

The first Kołobrzeg town hall was erected on the Market Square in 1380. It was a real pearl of the Hanseatic architecture and gave joy to the residents of the town until the beginning of the 19th century, when it was mostly destroyed during a siege. On its ruins, in the 1830s, a new one was built. The neo-Gothic building was created along the design of Karol Fryderyk Schinkel.

East Ekopark

It is an ecological park stretching from Podczele towards Bagicz and ends just before Sianożęty. Its area is about 380 ha. The flora and fauna are protected here, mainly breeding grounds, amphibian and reptile sites as well as aquatic and terrestrial plants. Along the park there is a path perfect for walkers, runners and cyclists.

Water tower

ul. Budowlana 4 A

The brick building in the neo-gothic style from 1885 was created simultaneously with a new water supply network, which still remembered the times of the Middle Ages. Water was pumped from the river Parsęta to a huge reservoir at top of the tower, and from there distributed to residential buildings. During the siege of Kołobrzeg in March 1945, when the pumps stopped working, the tank supplied the inhabitants with drinking water. The building survived the war and was re-launched in the 1970s.

Polish Armament Museum

The museum was founded in 1963 and has the richest collection in Poland presenting armament, equipment and uniforms of Polish soldiers from the period of World War I and II as well as a unique collection of paramilitary units’ uniforms. The permanent exhibition "History of the Polish Arms" is a chronologically arranged, rich collection documenting the history of the Polish military from the Middle Ages to the present. The exhibition is complemented by a fascinating outdoor exhibition.

Regional Cultural Center

This is a center of the cultural and social life in Kołobrzeg. Groups and ensembles with music, theater, recitation, art and dance profiles operate here. The Center seats a Contemporary Art Gallery where exhibitions of Polish and foreign artists are held.

The military attractions center

ul. Koszalińska 2

A unique place where you can buy everything related to the military — from original uniform buttonsto collector's weapon models, and even a tank! In addition to shopping, you can have a nice time here and go on a combat vehicle ride.

Aquarium

al. I Armii Wojska Polskiego 6 C

A real festival of fish in all possible colors and sizes takes place in the Kołobrzeg Aquarium. The underwater world is full of blowfish, moray eels, rays, sea ants, tropheuses, piranhas, beautiful lionfish, sharks and many other creatures that delight the visitors.

The Stone Bulwark

The Stone Bulwark in Kołobrzeg is located in the Eastern part of the town in the dunes right on the seashore. This is a part of the former Kołobrzeg Fortress, currently used for recreational purposes — there is a restaurant and a discotheque here.

Globe

ul. Armii Krajowej 12

One finger is enough to move the Earth and spin a granite globe (weighing over a tone) placed on a water bearing. The fountain is located in front of the Town Hall and is one of the favorite meeting places of Kołobrzeg inhabitants. Touching it is said to bring good luck.

SURFING, KITESURFING, WINDSURFING

The Baltic Sea is a good place for people who want to start an adventure with surfing. Experienced fans of this sport recommend Kołobrzeg as one of the best spots on the Baltic Sea, especially in autumn and winter. Fans of kitesurfing and windsurfing can take advantage of the good conditions at Lake Resko Przymorskie and the whole Kołobrzeg coast.
